About

FOUR YEARS AGO, a plot was hatched to bring a new venue for world-class genre film to the East Coast and hence the BOSTON FANTASTIC FILM FESTIVAL was born! Each year we comb the vaults and festivals of the world for the best sci-fi/horror/fantasy/etc films from across the U.S. and around the world. We're especially excited to announce that the festival will feature a special advance screening of Terry Gilliam's newest film, TIDELAND!

Previous highlights have included the Boston premieres of Saw, Creep, Infernal Affairs, Ju-On: The Grudge 1 & 2, Three: Extremes, Takashi Miike's Izo, Appleseed, A Tale of Two Sisters, Mamoru Oshii's Avalon, Robot Stories, and Undead, as well as special archival screenings of Robert Wise's The Haunting, Alien: Director's Cut, and the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

THE BRATTLE THEATRE IS LOCATED at 40 Brattle Street in Harvard Square, Cambridge, one block from the red line T stop. Fully wheelchair accessible. For more information about the Brattle Theatre visit brattlefilm.org or call 617 876-6837.

The Boston Fantastic Film Festival is programmed by Ned Hinkle.

Special thanks for invaluable help to Brandon Constant, Caitlin Crowley, Russ Fischer, Colin Geddes, Tom Guttadauro, Ivy Moylan, Karen Signorelli, Cory Woolman, and all of the distributors, filmmakers and producers, and anyone else I forgot because I'm delirious.
